As a Professor of Pharmacy at Regis University, she has developed innovative pharmacotherapy and pharmacogenetics courses, integrating research and technology to enhance learning and patient care. Dr. Shea’s expertise includes best practices in medication management, precision medicine, pharmacovigilance, and project management, with a proven record of driving process improvements and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals. Her clinical work at HealthOne Physician Services Group has focused on optimizing medication access, developing clinical decision support tools, and significantly improving medication adherence and safety.
She has authored over 29 peer-reviewed publications and delivered 45 conference presentations, contributing to advancements in medication safety, pharmacogenomics, and health outcomes research. Dr. Shea holds a PharmD from the University of Colorado and an MS in Pharmacogenomics and Precision Medicine from the University of Florida. Jolene brings a dynamic frontline perspective to the KOHIF Pharmagenix Advisory Board, drawing from her extensive experience as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner in both urban and rural hospital systems. Board-certified in emergency medicine with dual licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Jolene has firsthand insight into the real-time challenges of medication management in high-acuity settings.
While new to the field of pharmacogenomics, her passion for delivering individualized, evidence-based care aligns seamlessly with Pharmagenix’s mission to optimize therapy through genetic insight.
